bAdventurous app for iPhone and iPad

bAdventurous is a mobile application which acts as a travel companion to help tourists during their travels. It was created to provide users with a standard way to be notified of attractions nearby, allowing them to find out information about a particular attraction without the need for them to compile numerous information resources together, squeeze passed crowds of people to try and read information presented on a small plaque, that may be too hard to read or even in a different language. bAdventurous eliminates these problems by sending relevant information directly to the user’s app as they walk by. This is done using Estimote beacons. The application allows them to view all tourist information in their own language as the IOS application is localized and can be easily changed to English, Japanese or Swedish. The app allows them to set preferences so they aren’t receiving notifications for attractions they aren’t interested in. It features a secure login, with all user details, tourist location details and beacon details stored securely in Parse.
